MYC Wine and Dine with COLBEH

You asked for it, and we’re bringing it back! There will be Colbeh Dinner, Wine & Whiskey Bar. Tickets are at a special price of $30! The night will feature a memorable speech from our very own Rabbi Adam Sabzevari!

The event is open to guys 23+ and girls 18+.

Our dynamic duo of Rabbi Adam Sabzevari and Rabbi Mosheh Aziz will be opening Seuda Shelishi (3rd Meal of Shabbat) this week at 130! Come end Shabbat on a high note, and fulfill the mitzvah of eating a 3rd special meal of Shabbat from Shop Delight, with a warm atmosphere, amazing speakers, and wonderful singing. We will end the night with havdala. Open to all guys & girls. Mincha starts at 6:45 pm @ 130 Steamboat Road.

MYC Blood Drive

The Mashadi Youth Committee has organized a blood drive to be held at Shaare Shalom Synagogue (54 Steamboat Road), on Sunday, April 14th, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.  Blood cannot be manufactured – it can only come from generous donors  – which is why we encourage all eligible donors to come and participate.  The general requirement to be a blood donor are as follows: 1) Must be age 17 or up.  16 year-olds can donate with permission of parent or guardian who must sign you in.  2) Must weigh at least 110 pounds.  3) Must have valid identification such as a driver’s license, passport, or other valid picture id, and your social security number.  Drinks, snacks, and light food will be available for all donors.  For more information, please feel free to contact Shawn Aziz at 516-423-6231 / shlomoshawnaziz@gmail.com,  Maxine Karmily at 516-782-1551, or Charlotte Shahverdi at 516-424-2252 / charlottes989@gmail.com

IvRead Registration

  • Want a tune up on your Hebrew reading? Did you forget your aleph bet?  Do you want to learn how to be chazan? Do you want to learn how to read tehillim? If you you answered yes to any of these questions, then sign up for IVREADIVREAD is a learning imitative to teach the community how to advance in their Hebrew reading skills in the context of Jewish prayers on regular days, Shabbats, and holidays. Classes begin on April 8th at 8:00PM and will continue for eight weeks on every Monday. Check up on our Facebook page for the registration link or click here.
IVREAD is available to the entire community for anyone above the age of 16.
